The petition submitted by the General Prosecutor only indicates assumptions and hypotheses of no value as evidence. It is just about offensive and unacceptable prejudging based solely on the word of a criminal.
Former President Lula has not taken part directly or indirectly in any of the facts investigated by Operation Carwash.
Over the last years, Lula has been the target of an all-out investigation. His activities, talks, trips, bank accounts, absolutely everything has been looked into and still nothing illegal or irregular has been found.
Lula has always cooperated with the authorities in clarifying the truth, having even given testimony before the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Former President Lula has nothing to conceal and fears no investigation.
